Amnesty Intellectual: Clear your mind, and take a stand against being abused by power.

And really, that's about it.

There's a bit more to it.

But not much.

We have to forget or question everything we've learned from sources that have proven to be habitual and ritual liars.

We have to understand that the 5 corporations who control our mass media, and the even smaller cabal of bankers that control them, try control our reality with 50 pieces of relevant information they allow a day through their various outlets.

They may be commented on in radically different ways, but the subjects discussed and debated stay the same.

Even if you think at least half of them are lies, such as the need to use torture to extract information - especially since the wars just keep getting worse and worse despite the use of more torture and secret prisons than ever; that we should be scared of lipstick bombs; or that privatizing social security is a good idea, you have to understand that the same powerful people you are told to trust again and again are selling you these same horrible ideas again and again, and forcing you to make up your own versions of the truth.

Or, that's just government and corporate collusion slapping you in the face.

Again and again.

And that's just the government and corporate collusion selling us war.

Again and again.

And that's just good old-fashioned fascism for you.

Again and again.

Tell me the date, time and context for the President of Iran's "We wanna destroy Israel!" quote: you won't find it, and yet somehow in the back of your mind you definitely believe Iran is a "threat" we need to deal with in some fashion right now, as opposed to anything else.

Find me the quotes from Israel about Iran and other Arabs: you'll see a fairly petty back-and-forth history between everybody in the region. Nothing unusual or especially pressing, and no real history of sabre-rattling between Israel and Iran. In fact, Iran was very pro-West under President Khatami, but with no support from the West he was booted out. Go figure.

Find me the widely published U.S. intelligence estimates that suggest Iran is 10 years away from building a nuclear weapon, and find me how often that fact is used to discredit the Bush Administrations suggestions that Iran presents yet another "imminent threat". You can't. Because they don't.

Check the local Israeli media's coverage of this madness, it's a hell of a lot more balanced than North America's and helped "stop" the fighting in Lebanon - something our media never tries to do. After dealing with Arabs for over 50 years, Israeli media sometimes even humanizes the Arabs their government is persecuting - something our media never tries to do.

Now: after they lied about Afghanistan and Iraq, why do you believe they're telling the truth about Iran? And the possible reasons we should use nuclear weapons on them?

Because even if you know they're lying, some of the lies slip through.

Especially the ones about foreign madmen trying to kill us all, or foreign fascists trying to kill us all.

Unfortunately that's scary stuff.

But it's also a stage-managed lie and fabrication, especially since it was Halliburton who sold Iran much of their nuclear technology, and it also hides the even scarier fact that domestic fascist madmen are trying to kill us - which we then can't believe.

Continuing on this path is a bad idea when there are qualified and dedicated critics out there, people who spend years researching the roots of corruption who can quickly identify the narrative history of current lies and reasons for them, and people who at a glance you can tell are doing this primarily to expose the truth - as opposed to chasing mass media coverage and the subsequent expected cash-windfall. Hey, not that it wouldn't be nice, but what's even better is keeping your integrity in the face of rising fascism, and helping to Save The World.

With a little cross-referencing and an appreciation for consistency, you can easily learn who to trust and who not to.

If you're not stupid, you won't have a problem.

If you keep watching news that lies to you, you'll become stupid.

If you keep watching some unidentified "Sr. Terror Analyst" on CNN tell you we either have to kill people or live in fear of dying - or both, with no explanation of who that "Sr. Terror Analyst" works for or what their experience has been (see for yourself - I just did again), then you are essentially trusting a conspiracy to keep you from caring to ask those questions or feel they are important.

Think people.

This is not about "pets", or "fashion", or "yoga", or "pilates", or "football", or "sports cars", or "condo's", or "relationships", or "depression", or "health", or "celebrities", or "children", or "mortgages" or anything else where you'd definitely want an "expert" who's background is explained that you can trust to give you advice.

This. Is. Terrorism.

This. Is. Killing. Or. Dying.

This. Is. Serious. Business.

This. Is. It.

Wakey-wakey... :-)

Peace, (NOW!!!)
BK

FYI - Here's a 10 minute video clip of what Mr. Palast was working on
for the Democracy NOW! television show, including FEMA boarding up
houses of (black!) residents that weren't even hit by Hurricane Katrina
in order to clear them off the valuable real-estate.

And here's something even more insane that was floated out on the
Associated Press newswires, as the Air Force wants to test new weapons
on civilian crowds in the United States in order to say they're
acceptable for use overseas.

Sounds perfectly reasonable, right?

I haven't seen it make the news controlled by 5 corporations yet.

Perhaps it will. Perhaps it won't.

I noticed that gas prices are about the same at the 5 corporations that
own the gas companies too, I don't say "oil" as it's part of the con,
and we can't forget that while they're * making * 400% more in profits,
we're * paying * them 50% more for "gas".

Sometimes I wonder if these corporations have similar operating
principles, or if they believe that, as David Rockefeller once said:

"Competition is a sin."

Air Force chief: Test weapons on testy U.S. mobs

AP | September 13 2006

Nonlethal weapons such as high-power microwave devices should be used on American citizens in crowd-control situations before being used on the battlefield, the Air Force secretary said Tuesday.

The object is basically public relations. Domestic use would make it easier to avoid questions from others about possible safety considerations, said Secretary Michael Wynne.

"If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne. "(Because) if I hit somebody with a nonlethal weapon and they claim that it injured them in a way that was not intended, I think that I would be vilified in the world press."

The Air Force has paid for research into nonlethal weapons, but he said the service is unlikely to spend more money on development until injury problems are reviewed by medical experts and resolved.

Anderson Cooper's CIA Secret

Anderson Cooper has long traded on his biography, carving a niche for himself as the most human of news anchors. But there's one aspect of his past that the silver-haired CNN star has never made public: the months he spent training for a career with the Central Intelligence Agency.

Following his sophomore and junior years at Yale "a well-known recruiting ground for the CIA" Cooper spent his summers interning at the agency's monolithic headquarters in Langley, Virginia, in a program for students interested in intelligence work. His involvement with the agency ended there, and he chose not to pursue a job with the agency after graduation, according to a CNN spokeswoman, who confirmed details of Cooper's CIA involvement to Radar.

hey folks,

good to meet you, and yes, i believe we can save the world.

in fact, i think our belief in being unable to save the world is
nurtured by forces that don't want us to try, and that want to keep us
dumb, powerless and hopeless.

it's like how the mainstream media convinces us we're "smart" if we
proudly say we don't believe in "conspiracy theories", something that
probably keeps the rich and evil people actually "conspiring" to screw
us laughing their asses off. as long as we use the language of our
slave-masters to discredit each other we're in a bit of trouble: we
don't trust those who've accumulated more knowledge than us, we don't
trust the mainstream media, and we trust everything else even less.

even normal sane people who watch CNN while boasting how they know
they're lying are saying:

"What? Of course we've got to get Iran! They want to nuke us!"

they're effectively "selling" us another war, and i don't buy it.

frankly i use the "qui bono?" or "who profits?" principle on every
piece of information i digest, and assign credibility accordingly: is
this information benefiting "power" or "people"? is the person saying
it for fame and fortune - or - in spite it's allure?

we can argue by "appealing to authority", but the higher up we go on
the "authority" food chain the worse it stinks, including POTUS George
W. Bush being full of crap.

so, the corporate media tells us the internet is full of crap, when in
fact it's the most democratic source of information ever, with
millions of people competing to build their credibility for years and
thousands of witnesses coming forward. we don't see any
"whistleblowers" on the "news" anymore, a real subtle and unnoticed
tragedy in-line with them not "reading us our rights" on shows like
CSI and 24 when they arrest us compared to cop shows of the 70's, 80's
and 90's (check for yourself), so thank G-d for the internet for as
long as we have it.

sorry for the rambling, as homeboy said i've got a lot to say and you
can find it on my sites, but i'll leave you with a 10 minute video
clip of Mr. Palast and the report he got in trouble for making. i've
gotta say it's sad, but with the knowledge of Mr. Palast and millions
of others working hard on these issues, i remain armed with
optimism... :-)

FALUN DAFA TORTURE METHODS ARCHIVE - http://photo.minghui.org/photo/images/persecution_evidence/E_torture_13.htm

I think all this artificial equivocation is silly, and the "left" and "right" labels don't stand up to objective morality that we all supposedly subscribe to.

To wit: the people holding people without charge or trial and torturing them and their supporters don't have a defensible position irrespective of what the mainstream media certifies, and the rest of us have to stop acknowledging that "both sides have a point" and taking what the government says at face-value.

Both sides aren't equally evil either, as the corporate-controlled right-wing media would have a field day with any evidence they found of "liberal" corruption.

To wit: the Republican party committed tonnes of voter fraud and disenfranchisement, and yet there was no mention of Democrats doing the same even on Fox News, so saying "Oh, both sides do it!" is false.

I'm not for a particular position, I'm for the idea that in our Republic we need to decentralize power and preserve individual rights, and the Left just happens to be closer to more groups that represent "people" as opposed to "power", so they have better access to more like-minded people in government when they win, which isn't a bad start.

Finally, I truly believe we're under attack by the forces behind this war-mongering corporate-fascism.

The Bilderberg Group is a key player if you want some "mainstream" news back-up (Google it or check my SoundClick site), and since they're playing to "win" and enslave or kill us all (see: The Rest of the World's Poor, plus RFID chips, security cameras, The Patriot Act, the coming Wars on Whomever, plus...) I feel we should too.

I hope that clears it up, and honestly I can't wait to "sell out" myself - which I have no problems doing. I'd love to make timeless music about traditional subjects or fun stuff with some integrity, but since not enough people are willing to take on this particular fight and I'm pretty good at it, that's what I'm up to... :-)

Peace, (NOW!!!)
BK
