Canadian Military Police Kidnap, Detain, Torture Bilderberg Investigators

Interrogators threatened to "cut off arms" during 6 hour marathon of hell

Paul Joseph Watson/Prison Planet.com | June 29 2006

Three Canadian citizens who visited the Brookestreet Hotel in Ottawa to observe members of the Bilderberg Group earlier this month were kidnapped, detained without charge and suffered the ordeal of a marathon interrogation session and psychological torture - including threats to "cut off the arms" of one of the victims.

The nightmare began on June 9th, the second day of the Bilderberg conference. After being warned to leave the previous day, Joe Burd's party of three left the site of the Brookestreet Hotel at 2pm where he and Crystal Slack headed for a local bar, while Burd's friend electrician Don McCormick rested in their rented vehicle which was parked on a downtown street.

What happened next should chill the core of anyone who thinks that westerners still live in a free society.

Joe Burd picks up the story.

"A military-grade task force involving local police, RCMP and members of the “Integrated National Security Enforcement Team” descended around the rental vehicle with weapons pointed at Mr. McCormick. He was abruptly and forcibly taken into custody from his vehicle, thrown to the ground and kicked in head."

After approaching the vehicle, Burd and his friend Crystal Slack were also grabbed and kidnapped, taken to a RCMP holding facility, detained without charges, harassed and interrogated for hours about their connections to the "insurgent" and "threat to national security" Alex Jones, who himself had been detained and interrogated for 15 hours at the hands of Canadian immigration the previous day.

They were the lucky ones.

McCormick was taken to a secret high security facility where he was brutally interrogated without charge and mentally tortured for six hours. He was accused of wanting to blow up the Brookestreet Hotel, as the interrogators threatened to "cut off his arms" warning him that they also "had his friends" in custody. This is the very definition of psychological torture, the threat of physical harm and dismemberment.

One of the dictionary definitions of torture is, "dismemberment, taking apart - the removal of limbs; being cut to pieces." The threat of extreme physical pain is a method used on suspected terrorists and was also inflicted upon innocent prisoners at Abu Ghraib.

McCormick's anguish at the hands of the Canadian Gestapo didn't end there.

Interrogators told McCormick that he “would never be alone again” and to “watch his back” - as he began to fear he would become the latest victim of the worldwide rendition policy, and be taken to an Eastern European gulag for further torture.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

McCormick was so stricken by the horror of his nightmare that many of the details of what happened remained bottled up, partly from threatened fear of reprisals if he told anyone what had occurred.

Finally being released and returning home the next day, McCormick became delirious and had to be rushed to hospital after he collapsed. He was diagnosed with severe dehydration and mental fatigue due to his experiences in Ottawa. McCormick had to be sedated to help him sleep as he babbled about having his arms cut off and interrogators threatening to harm his friends.

From the experiences of Alex Jones during his 15 hour ordeal with Canadian immigration officials, it was learned that the order to impede Jones' party came directly from the Bilderberg Group itself. With this knowledge in hand, it is by no means a stretch to assume that the hellish treatment of Burd, McCormick and Slack was also a mandate of the Bilderberg elitists.

These are the pleasures of the global elite and their security thug enforcers - repression of free speech, intimidation, kidnapping, grabbing people off the streets and treating them as terrorists, and psychological torture - all carried out under the wilful arrogance that they are protecting the nation from harm.

The real terrorists are the perverted bullies that kidnapped three peaceful citizens and subjected them to a marathon of hell - and they represent a threat to the freedom and way of life of all Canadians.

5 GIs being investigated in 4 Iraq deaths

By RYAN LENZ, Associated Press Writer 10 minutes ago

BEIJI, Iraq - The U.S. Army will investigate charges that five American soldiers were involved in the killings of four Iraqi relatives, including a woman who had been raped, military officials said Friday. It's the sixth current inquiry into the alleged slayings of Iraqi civilians by American troops.

Some of the five soldiers also allegedly burned the body of the woman they are accused of assaulting in the March incident, a U.S. military official told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the case.

The U.S. command issued a statement saying only that Maj. Gen. James D. Thurman, commander of coalition troops in Baghdad, had ordered a criminal investigation into the alleged killing of a family of four in Mahmoudiyah, south of Baghdad.

At least 14 American troops have been convicted in other cases.

The United States also is investigating allegations that two dozen unarmed Iraqi civilians were killed by Marines in the western town of Haditha on Nov. 19 in a revenge attack after one of their own died in a roadside bombing.

"The entire investigation will encompass everything that could have happened that evening. We're not releasing any specifics of an ongoing investigation," military spokesman Maj. Todd Breasseale said of the Mahmoudiyah allegations.

"There is no indication what led soldiers to this home. The investigation just cracked open. We're just beginning to dig into the details."

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said he had no additional details on the incident but added that the military routinely investigates all allegations of misconduct.

However, a U.S. official close to the investigation said at least one of the soldiers, all assigned to the 502nd Infantry Regiment, has admitted his role and been arrested. Two soldiers from the same regiment were slain this month when they were kidnapped at a checkpoint near Youssifiyah.

The official told the AP the accused soldiers were from the same platoon as the two slain soldiers. The military has said one and possibly both of the slain soldiers were tortured and beheaded.

The official said the mutilation of the slain soldiers stirred feelings of guilt and led at least one of them to reveal the rape-slaying on June 22.

According to a senior Army official, the alleged incident was first revealed by a soldier during a routine counseling-type session. The official, who requested anonymity because the investigation is ongoing, said that soldier did not witness the incident but heard about it.

A second soldier, who also was not involved, said he overhead soldiers conspiring to commit the crimes, and then later saw bloodstains on their clothes, the official said.

He also said the four people killed included three adults and a child, and one of the adults was the woman who allegedly was raped.

One of the accused soldiers already has been discharged and is believed to be in the United States, several U.S. officials said on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing. The others have had their weapons taken away and are confined to Forward Operating Base Mahmoudiyah.

Senior officers were aware of the family's death but believed it was due to sectarian violence, common in the religiously mixed town, a U.S. official said.

The killings appeared to have been a "crime of opportunity," the official said. The soldiers had not been attacked by insurgents but had noticed the woman on previous patrols.

Hey Folks,

You know, they say it's not good to talk about politics or religion at a party.

I'm trying to figure out who "they" are.

Y'see, instead of getting angry, if we had normalized and civilized discussions about political and religious issues in relaxed and convivial settings, such as at parties or at work, then we could probably figure a few things out. Like others I have on occasion, and found them to be some of the most passionate and engaging exchanges of the day.

In our busy and worried world, it seems we each learn a half-dozen important things per-week to trade with each other. If we traded our tiny fragments of the perpetual puzzle often enough, and respected our interest and intent in doing so, then maybe, just maybe, we'd figure it out.

I have the lyrics to the attached songs (side A and B) below my signature, and they're dedicated to all the activists out there who are active for - you guessed it - us.

They give us the information and inspiration to find the dedication to improve our situation; and on the anniversary of our great nation it makes sense to admire their persuasion. They don't get enough love, and without them we wouldn't have equal rights, civil rights, property rights, labor laws, environmental laws, freedom of speech, etc. And because they're not getting enough love, we're losing our equal rights, civil rights, property rights, labor laws, environmental laws, freedom of speech, etc.

Feel free to pass them on, and If you want to use them to help Save The World in any way at all, please let us know.

We believe in the "big tent" party approach, so you don't have to be exclusively "conscious" or "politically conscious" in many of the ways that are "sold" (i.e. given major credibility and publicity) to divide and conquor us. There is no Right and Left; only right and wrong. We all have our own situations and desires and needs and interests and ways of letting our own uniqueness shine through as a bright light exposing the flaws of conformity. So, that'll do.

About 10,000 people trying to screw the rest of us 6 billion, so the issues of "taste" many arguments boil down to are just a trap to keep us as tribal and distrustful as possible. You can have these songs and others for your movies, shows, websites, events, rallies, videogames, conferences, tupperware parties, comic conventions, slumber parties, strip-clubs, seances, orgies... whatever.

Just let us know your freedom of expression and we'll flip you permission.

It's cool, if we work on it we'll get a solid global course correction soon enough, I mean really, all we have to do is aim for "Star Trek" and we'll be fine...

(Personally I can't wait to go "pop" and then retire, so I'm in a bit of a hurry...)

Have a great long weekend everybody! ;-)

Cheers,
BK

Yo...

It's on...

Yeah...

(flip it up)

C'mon everybody!

It's time to celebrate!

We know what's going on!

And we ain't gonna let it last long!

Yeah!

C'mon! C'mon! C'mon!

Black Krishna and TyGuy Productions!

C'mon! C'mon!

Yeah!

I see Nazi's, Nazi's, everywhere,
Don't tell me what to wear,
Or how to wear my hair,
If you don't dare share?
Or dare to stare and care?
Then you a Nazi,
You probably wasn't even aware!
I mean, how did you buy?
The Big Scare?
When most of the Middle-East?
Wants to send their kids here?
For a college education,
And a lifestyle change,
Coming back with blue jeans,
And a brand new Range,
So outta the way!
Ya slowin' down the fast lane of progress,
Keep gettin' it messed,
We'll never get to the projects!
My messianic complex,
Is coming back with context,
Now it's no contest,
I'm calm, they' stressed...

(chorus)

Nazi's, Nazi's, everywhere,
Don't tell me what to wear,
Or how to wear my hair,
If you don't dare share?
Or dare to stare and care?
Then you a Nazi,
You probably wasn't even aware!

(x2)

Ohhh...

I'll never say that again...

Ohhh...

Then again...

Why not?

See, back in the day,
When they thought, we had a way,
They spent all day,
Pointing us, the other way,
And everyone who say,
That it's gotta be this way,
Has gotta be dismayed,
When they see who's gettin' paid,
Who's lurkin' in the shade,
As "The Money Masters" made,
A killing off the Nazi's'n'Commies'n'weapons grade,
Now we steppin' to the plate with weapons home-made,
And we reppin' it for freedom in every single way,
And every single day we gotta say we're okay,
A mother-sister-father-brother tryin' to make it their way...

You's a mother-sister-father-brother tryin' to make it yo' way...

(chorus)

Nazi's, Nazi's, everywhere,
Don't tell me what to wear,
Or how to wear my hair,
If you don't dare share?
Or dare to stare and care?
Then you a Nazi,
You probably wasn't even aware!

(x2)

Nazi's....

Nazi's...

Beware...

Nazi's...

Nazi's...

Beware...

I can see you over there/over here,
I overhear convos,
Overhear-fear, like-you-facin' Shaq and Alonzo,
My flow is so Gonzo,
Like Hunter S. Thom, so fear is what I loath,
I'd rather know, who bombed those,
Towers, that fell, so easily,
While the government, acted, so sleazily,
What's keepin' it real to me,
Is having the guts to admit:
Since they torture people,
We're in some deep...
Sit back and relax,
The media's got the facts,
But they're ignoring the Left,
Like they're ignoring the Blacks,
That's why I write my little raps,
To get us out of Iraq,
So don't act like a Nazi,
'Cause they're already back...

(chorus)

Nazi's, Nazi's, everywhere,
Don't tell me what to wear,
Or how to wear my hair,
If you don't dare share?
Or dare to stare and care?
Then you a Nazi,
You probably wasn't even aware!

(x2)

Outro:

"But if I talk about Nazi's?
My record won't get played?
Huh???
Well, if this take away from my spins,
Which will probably take away from my ends,
Then I hope this take away from my sins,
And bring the day,
That I'm dreaming 'bout,
Next time I'm in the club,
Everybody screaming out -- "

Bayou Boy,
Raised as soldier,
Had to get colder,
Dad was barely older,
Bolder than my brother,
So clever, joined the Guard,
Wasn't really that hard,
But it's that, or the yard,
Now a weekend's turned to weeks,
Now New Orlean's reeks,
Now normal people are lookin' like freaks,
Play hide and seek with the bodies,
Politicians, paparazzi,
Was a Superdome Nazi,
Tried to play it like it's Yahtzee,
They say we need peace,
But they fired the police,
Now soldiers say desist, and cease,
Or get deceased,
I'm on my knees,
Every night,
I wanna fight for what's right,
But I'm staring at my city,
Underwater every night,
And Blackwater rises,
When a crackhead in sight,
Pop-pop!
From over there,
He was puttin' up a fight,
I ain't shuttin' up tonite,
Gotta knuckle-up and fight,
But if I stick my neck out,
They'll pull a Tech out tonite,
I put my check out of sight,
Can't stand the Blood Money,
Can't stand to see my blood run from me,
A Bayou Boy, now a Bayou Man,

I need to take a stand,

And that's why I ran...

(chorus)

Prayer for New Orleans,
The fallen, the calling,
Prayer,
For the Chocolate City,
To start balling,

Prayer for the Devil's,
Dreamin' of the next date,
With fate, we relate,
Can we say police state?

(x2)

Say a prayer for New Orleans...

(x2)

I'm on the run now,,
Having fun now,,
Got a gun now,,
Let's see who run now...
But they' grabbin' guns,
Left, Right, and Center,
Homeowners and renters,
Store owners, dissenters,
My score only a slender,
Glock-9, all mine,
Feelin' fine,
If I gotta jack a bread line,
I gotta get mine,
Get food,
Get a home, get shelter,
The world's helter skelter,
The cards that were dealt were,
A four-leaf clover,
In a Range Rover,
Soldiers sayin': "Chill out man - the war is over!"
Hope I'm sober,
I'm on my own, and I'm scared,
'Cause Uncle Sam, really seems mad, when he stared,

I Dared to Dream, like Martin once said,

Now I'm scared to dream, or I'll wind up dead...

(chorus)

Prayer for New Orleans,
The fallen, the calling,
Prayer,
For the Chocolate City,
To start balling,

Prayer for the Devil's,
Dreamin' of the next date,
With fate, we relate,
Can we say police state?

(x2)

Say a prayer for New Orleans...

(x2)

Ah, found me a toolshed, a place to nap,
I guess this is where, I should check out my map,
Let's see, Checkpoint A, and Checkpoint B,
And I seem to recall, Checkpoints C and D,
Looks like nowhere's free, and I'm'a die in hell,
And New Orleans, is one big jail...

(chorus)

Prayer for New Orleans,
The fallen, the calling,
Prayer,
For the Chocolate City,
To start balling,

Prayer for the Devil's,

A biography of the life of Frederick Douglass by Sandra Thomas

Frederick Douglass was one of the foremost leaders of the abolitionist movement, which fought to end slavery within the United States in the decades prior to the Civil War.

A brilliant speaker, Douglass was asked by the American Anti-Slavery Society to engage in a tour of lectures, and so became recognized as one of America's first great black speakers. He won world fame when his autobiography was publicized in 1845. Two years later he bagan publishing an antislavery paper called the North Star.

Douglass served as an adviser to President Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War and fought for the adoption of constitutional amendments that guaranteed voting rights and other civil liberties for blacks. Douglass provided a powerful voice for human rights during this period of American history and is still revered today for his contributions against racial injustice.

Blink 182 Star Latest Celebrity To Question 9/11

Attack was "not perpetrated by a bunch of people who just learned to fly planes" says pop icon on San Diego FM station

Paul Joseph Watson/Prison Planet.com | June 28 2006

Blink 182 star Tom DeLonge has followed in the footsteps of Charlie Sheen by becoming the latest celebrity to publicly doubt the official version of events behind 9/11 and voice his belief that the attacks were an inside job.

DeLonge is the lead singer in Blink 182, a southern Californian punk/pop quartet that has had two US Billboard number one selling albums and whose 1999 album Enema of the State went platinum five times over.

During a hosting spot on a San Diego’s KAVA-FM radio station, DeLonge talked with Professor James Fetzer about evidence of 9/11 inside involvement.

"We do know that the buildings came down in a fashion extremely similar to a controlled demolition of a building - we do know that expertise that is needed to fly those gigantic planes into that exact location could never have been achieved by someone that just learned how to fly a small plane, said DeLonge."

Discussing the failure of NORAD to enact standard operating procedure and intercept the planes and Norman Mineta's testimony about Cheney's orders 'still standing' - DeLonge stated, "Cheney knew that the planes are coming in and he capped the order to leave it alone so it could hit."

"It's so weird how our own government did it to us, 9/11 was not perpetrated by a bunch of people that just learned how to fly planes," said DeLonge.

- Get Alex Jones' new movie TerrorStorm for just $5.95! -

Highlighting consistent Zogby polls that show an increasing acceleration of awareness to alternative explanations behind 9/11, DeLonge stated, "We're talking about 60-70% of the American people are actually starting to think that there's a different story, why are we as Americans sitting back and letting this happen to us?"

"Why would we sit back and let our country be defined this way?," said DeLonge.

DeLonge was careful to counter potential accusations that he was simply engaging in partisan rhetoric.

"I want to come out right now and say that I am not for a Democrat or for the Republican party - I want to make this clear right now and say that I don't hate Bush because he's Republican."

"I believe in the idea of America being as it was set out to be - this great experiment to better mankind," said the Blink 182 star.

"This isn't about the red or blue, this is about this administration being involved in something that is really really scary and really really dark and deceptive."

While clearly not in the same league as Charlie Sheen's courageous high-profile public stance, DeLonge should be commended for using his notoriety as a platform for exploring the truth.

Celebrities questioning 9/11 do not give the truth movement credibility, that has already been obtained through the research of people such as Professor Jones, Morgan Reynolds and Andreas von Bülow. Celebrities give the truth movement a more vocal platform and a means of reaching a sector of society that might usually be off-limits via the normal reaches of the alternative truth community.

yo man,

i know we all have dreams... but, we also have to face reality.

so, take your fat-stack of cash and use it but don't abuse it, 'cause i know you guys have a history of living on credit. it's not worth it to buy the biggest house you possibly can only to lose it in 5 years - as is the plan being put forward by the banks.

you can see it happening if you watch carefully, you don't, but i do, and i can put the random "oh - things are just so screwed up!" way we look at the news in more context.

here's an example from Yahoo! News that i'm copying below, i always take a look at the "mainstream news" headlines just before i check my Yahoo! Mail, and i understand that even when "they" don't make a big deal out of it, it doesn't matter: it's still a big deal.

i've barely read the whole thing because it's full of economic mumbo-jumbo that's there on purpose so we can't understand it - it takes economics (or "our society's use of our money!") and puts it exclusively in the domain of "experts" who can justify why their bosses are screwing us - and why gas prices are high - and why entire countries can't "eat" - and why we have to pay more and more and more for everything...

but, the central idea is clear: they're raising mortgage interest rates, and if you think they can't find a way around "contracts", then you're crazy. there's example after example of "laws" that protect people being changed today - e.g. "eminent domain" in the U.S. is allowing the government to take away people's homes and sell the land to private businesses (Google it - even mainstream news is hella worried), so really, raising interest rates is a relatively small assault on our individual and collective privacy and property rights...

good luck meng, you know i'm on it like that, but hey - i ain't trippin', lots of cats have been on it like that, and when we listen we move the world in the right direction, when we don't, we don't...

peace,

Mortgage rates climb on inflation fears

By MARTIN CRUTSINGER, AP Economics Writer 15 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Interest rates on 30-year mortgages rose for a third straight week, hitting the highest level in more than four years as investors continued to express worries about inflation.

Freddie Mac, the mortgage company, reported Thursday that rates on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages increased to a nationwide average of 6.78 percent this week, up from 6.71 percent last week.

It was the highest level for 30-year mortgages since they averaged 6.81 percent the week of May 24, 2002.

While the housing sector has enjoyed five boom years powered by the lowest mortgage rates in four decades, housing sales are expected to decline by 7 percent or more this year as higher mortgage rates make home ownership more costly.

"Financial markets continue to expect more rate hikes by the Fed over the next six months, which has added upward pressure on mortgage rates," said Frank Nothaft, Freddie Mac's chief economist.

"With higher interest rates, the housing market has begun a gradual and orderly reversion towards historical norms," Nothaft said. "New construction, home sales and house price appreciation have all been slowing over the past few months."

Rates have been climbing since Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke expressed concerns earlier this month that inflation was rising at "unwelcome" levels, raising worries about how many more rate hikes there will be before the Fed decides it has done enough to combat inflation.

A variety of mortgages experienced rate increases this week, according to the Freddie Mac survey.

Rates on 15-year, fixed-rate mortgages, a popular choice for refinancing, increased to 6.43 percent, up from 6.36 percent last week.

Rates on one-year adjustable rate mortgages rose to 5.82 percent, up from 5.75 percent last week and the highest level in more than five years.

Rates on five-year adjustable-rate mortgages climbed to 6.39 percent, up from 6.32 percent last week.

The mortgage rates do not include add-on fees known as points. The one-year ARM carried a nationwide average fee of 0.8 point. The other three mortgage categories carried average fees of 0.5 point.

A year ago, 30-year mortgages averaged 5.62 percent, 15-year mortgages stood at 5.20 percent, one-year ARMs were at 4.33 percent and five-year ARMs averaged 5.19 percent.

Pentagon Admits To New Spying of Student Groups: "Okay, we know they're listening, so what are we saying about it?"

I mean really, this is all a bit much.

I mean, the guys who are spying on us - illegally - as if that had to be added, are also the ones telling us what they're doing overseas? And when we know they "disappear" and torture people overseas? How can they be trusted when they clearly don't trust us? How can they be trusted at all when all they've done is lie and deny while thousands die?

And what the heck is the Pentagon doing operating domestically and in direct violation of Posse Comitatus Act of 1878? Again, and again, and again, and again? An act that expressly forbids them from doing any domestic law enforcement without express Congressional or Constitutional authorization under the most extreme circumstances to prevent them from being tempted to militarily take over the country - as has always historically happened?

Don't worry, if you hadn't heard of that last confusing bit then it doesn't matter.

Soon it's not going to exist.

I mean, it's been practically Orwellized now.

With the increasing militarization of the police across North America and how often they're working together these days, it's shocking how there's almost no mention of Posse Comitatus in the mainstream media. This isn't new either, and it's merely something that's an old warhorse of an exceptionally healthy check and balance on military power.

What - is "Posse Comitatus" a "conspiracy theory" too?

Well, there's no healthy check and balance on power at the moment, and the three main branches of the U.S. government are either spineless or evil: and guess who wins?

Oh right, "...we're fighting a new kind of evil..."

Yeah, tell me about it.

The media is soft-selling the police state, nudging us forward using a careful cocktail that's getting us shaken, not stirred.

Yes the news sucks.

Yes the news lies.

Yes you can't watch it.

Yes it's way too depressing.

Yes it's terrible that you don't want to know.

Yes we'll pay for it.

Yes we don't have to if we just look elsewhere to listen to people who defend people - a wonderful and uplifting concept that can actually help cheer you up - and understand how we can help by at the very least being informed enough not to poison others.

From there, life gets much better...

The Myth of Posse Comitatus

Major Craig T. Trebilcock, U.S. Army Reserve

He is assigned as an operational law attorney with the 153d Legal Support Organization in Norristown, PA. His area of specialization includes the laws applicable to U.S. forces engaged in operations in both the United States and abroad. Major Trebilcock is a graduate of the University of Michigan (A.B. with high honors, 1982) and the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 1985). His military education includes the Judge Advocate General Basic Course (1988) and Advanced Course (1992), U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (1997), and the U.S. Navy War College International Relations Seminar (2000). Erosion of the Act

While the act appears to prohibit active participation in law enforcement by the military, the reality in application has become quite different. The act is a statutory creation, not a constitutional prohibition. Accordingly, the act can and has been repeatedly circumvented by subsequent legislation.
Since 1980, Congress and the president have significantly eroded the prohibitions of the act in order to meet a variety of law enforcement challenges.

One of the most controversial uses of the military during the past 20 years has been to involve the Navy and Air Force in the “war on drugs.” Recognizing the inability of civilian law enforcement agencies to interdict the smuggling of drugs into the United States by air and sea, the Reagan Administration directed the Department of Defense to use naval and air assets to reach out beyond the borders of the United States to preempt drug smuggling.
This use of the military in antidrug law enforcement was approved by Congress in 10 U.S.C., sections 371–381. This same legislation permitted the use of military forces in other traditionally civilian areas—immigration control and tariff enforcement.

The use of the military in opposing drug smuggling and illegal immigration was a significant step away from the act’s central tenet that there was no proper role for the military in the direct enforcement of the laws. The legislative history explains that this new policy is consistent with the Posse Comitatus Act,
as the military involvement still amounted to an indirect and logistical support of civilian law enforcement and not direct enforcement.[9]

The weakness of the analysis of passive versus direct involvement in law enforcement was most graphically demonstrated in the tragic 1999 shooting of a shepherd by marines who had been assigned a mission to interdict smuggling and illegal immigration in the remote Southwest.
An investigation revealed that for some inexplicable reason the 16-year-old shepherd fired his weapon in the direction of the marines. Return fire killed the boy. This tragedy demonstrates that when armed troops are placed in a position where they are being asked to counter potential criminal activity, it is a mere semantic exercise to argue that the military is being used in a passive support role. The fact that armed military troops were placed in a position with the mere possibility that they would have to use force to subdue civilian criminal activity reflects a significant policy shift by the executive branch away from the posse comitatus doctrine.

Pentagon Admits To New Spying of Student Groups

The list of activist groups monitored under a secret Pentagon program is growing.
The Servicemembers Legal Defense Network says the Defense Department has admitted to spying on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and anti-war protests at several universities: the State University of New York at Albany, William Paterson University in New Jersey, Southern Connecticut State University and the University of California at Berkeley. De-classified documents show the government intercepted the students' e-mails and planted undercover agents at at least one protest. The government also refused to confirm or deny whether it had spied on activists in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community.
The disclosure marks the latest case of known government spying under a secret domestic intelligence program, which has also targeted the Quaker movement and other anti-war groups.

Bayou Boy,
Raised as soldier,
Had to get colder,
Dad was barely older,
Bolder than my brother,
So clever joined the Guard,
Wasn't that hard,
But it's that, or the yard,
Now a weekend's turned to weeks,
Now New Orlean's reeks,
Now normal people are lookin' like freaks,
Play hide and seek with the bodies,
Politicians, paparazzi,
Was a Superdome Nazi,
Tried to play it like it's Yahtzee,
Tried to say we need peace,
But they fired the police,
Now soldiers say desist, and cease,
Or get deceased,
On my knees,
Every night,
I wanna fight, for what's right,
But I'm staring at my city,
Underwater every night,
And Blackwater rises,
When a crackhead in sight,
Pop-pop!
From over there,
He was puttin' up a fight,
I ain't shuttin' up tonite,
Gotta knuckle-up and fight,
But if I stick my neck out,
They'll pull a Tech, out tonite,
I put my check, out of sight,

Can't stand to see my blood run from me,
A Bayou Boy, now a Bayou Man,
A man need to take a stand,

And that's why I ran...

BLOOD MONEY: "Wars force Army equipment costs to triple" (Associated Press / Yahoo! News)

Wars force Army equipment costs to triple

By LOLITA C. BALDOR, Associated Press Writer 18 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - The annual cost of replacing, repairing and upgrading Army equipment in Iraq and Afghanistan is expected to more than triple next year to more than $17 billion, according to Army documents obtained by the Associated Press.

From 2002 to 2006, the Army spent an average of $4 billion a year in annual equipment costs. But as the war takes a harder toll on the military, that number is projected to balloon to more than $12 billion for the federal budget year that starts next Oct. 1, the documents show.

The $17 billion also includes an additional $5 billion in equipment expenses that the Army requested in previous years but has not yet been provided.

The latest costs include the transfer of more than 1,200 2 1/2-ton trucks, nearly 1,100 Humvees and *** $8.8 million *** in other equipment from the U.S. Army to the Iraqi security forces.

Army and Marine Corps leaders are expected to testify before Congress Tuesday and outline the growing costs of the war — with estimates that it will cost between $12 billion and $13 billion a year for equipment repairs, upgrades and replacements from now on.

The Marine Corps has said in recent testimony before Congress that it would need nearly $12 billion to replace and repair all the equipment worn out or lost to combat in the past four years. So far, the Marines have received $1.6 billion toward those costs to replace and repair the equipment.

According to the Army, the $17 billion includes:

_$2.1 billion in equipment that must be replaced because of battle losses.

_About $6.5 billion for repairs.

_About $8.4 billion to rebuild or upgrade equipment.

One of the growing costs is the replacement of Humvees, which are wearing out more quickly because of the added armor they are carrying to protect soldiers from roadside bombs. The added weight is causing them to wear out faster, decreasing the life of the vehicles.

Congress has provided about $21 billion for equipment costs in emergency supplemental budget bills from 2002-06. All the war equipment expenses have been funded through those emergency bills, and not in the regular fiscal-year budgets.

Pentagon officials have estimated that such emergency bills would have to continue two years beyond the time the U.S. pulls out of Iraq in order to fully replace, repair and rebuild all of the needed equipment.

The push for additional equipment funding comes after the House last week passed a $427 billion defense spending bill for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, which includes $50 billion for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. A separate $66 billion emergency funding bill for the two wars was approved earlier in the month.

War-related costs since 2001 are approaching half a trillion dollars.

PRESS RELEASE

National Press Release

Media Release

Contact:
John R. Dempsey
E-Mail: classaction_cpa@hotmail.com
http://www.freewebs.com/classaction/

April 15, 2005
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Westminster, B.C., April 15, 2005. John Ruiz Dempsey BSCr, LL.B, a criminologist and forensic litigation specialist filed a class action suit on behalf of the People of Canada alleging that financial institutions are engaged in illegal creation of money.
The complaint filed Friday April 15, 2005 in the Supreme Court of British Columbia at New Westminster, alleges that all financial institutions who are in the business of lending money have engaged in a deliberate scheme to defraud the borrowers by lending non-existent money which are illegally created by the financial institutions out of thin air. Dempsey claims that creation of money out of nothing is ultra vires these defendants charter or granted corporate power and therefore void and all monies loaned under false pretence contravenes the Criminal Code. The suit which is the first of its kind ever filed in Canada which could involve millions of Canadians alleges that the contracts entered into between the People (the borrowers) and the financial institutions were void or voidable and have no force and effect due to anticipated breach and for non-disclosure of material facts. Dempsey says the transactions constitutes counterfeiting and money laundering in that the source of money, if money was indeed advanced by the defendants and deposited into the borrowers accounts, could not be traced, nor could not be explained or accounted for.

The suit names Envision Credit Union (Envision), a credit union; Laurentian Bank of Canada (Laurentian Bank), Royal Bank of Canada (Royal Bank), Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Bank of Montreal (BOM), TD Canada Trust (Canada Trust) and Canadian Payment Association (CPA) as civil conspirators. The plaintiff in the lawsuit is seeking recovery of money and property that was lost by way of confiscation through illegal debt collection and foreclosure. The Plaintiff is also seeking for the return of the equities which rightfully belongs to the People of Canada, now being held by the defendant financial institutions as constructive trustees without color of right.

At all material times, these defendant banks and all of them have no legal standing to lend any money to borrowers, because: 1) these banks and credit unions did not have the money to lend, and therefore they did not have any capacity to enter into a binding contract; 2) the defendants did not have any cash reserve, they are not legally permitted to lend their depositors or members money without expressed written authorization form the depositors, and: 3) the defendants have no tangible assets of their own to lend and all their assets are paper assets which are mainly in the form of receivables created by them out of thin air, derived out of loans whereas the monies loaned out were also created out of thin air. Other than bookkeeping and computer entries, no money or substance of any value was loaned by the defendants to the Plaintiff. In all of the loan transactions entered into between the Plaintiff and the Defendants, the financial institutions did not bring any equity to any of the transaction. All the equities were provided by the borrowers. The practices of the defendant financial institutions alleged in the complaint starkly contrast the practices of responsible and ethical money lenders who actually lend real, tangible, legal tender cash money. The complaint alleges that the loan transactions are fraudulent because no value was ever imparted by the defendants to the Plaintiff; these defendants did not risk anything, nor lost anything and never would have lost anything under any circumstances and therefore no lien has been perfected according to law and equity against the Plaintiff. The foreclosure proceedings which comes as a result of the borrower defaulting on such fraudulent loans were carried out in bad faith by the defendant banks and credit unions, and as such, these foreclosures were in every respect unlawful acts of conversion and unlawful seizure of property without due process of law which always results in the unjust enrichment of the defendants. The suit alleges that the defendants utilize fraudulent banking practices whereby they deceive customers into believing that they are actually receiving credit or money when in fact no actual money is being loaned to their customers. However, the complaint describes a practice whereby there is realistically no money other than ledger or computer entries being loaned to the borrowers. Rather than real money being received by the borrowers, electronic or digitally created money, created out of nothing, at no cost to the financial institutions are entered as loans into their customers accounts. The borrowers are then required to pay criminal interest rates for the money they never received. The suit alleges that the defendants effectively turn consumers into virtual debt slaves, forcing them to pay for something they never received, and then seizing their properties if they can no longer pay the banks with real money.

There is no law in Canada that could remotely suggest that the defendant financial institutions have the legal right to create money out of nothing. Dempsey says: only God has the power to create anything out of nothing. The class action suit, the first and the biggest of its kind in Canada is intended to give the justice system the opportunity to prove itself to the People of Canada who is really in control or whether they would continue to allow itself to be used by the banks as a tool in their unlawful and fraudulent banking practices which always ends in the enslavement of the people and confiscation of the peoples properties.

Two other class action suits were filed by John Ruiz Dempsey against the banks. The first one was filed by Dempsey on behalf of Ian Dennis Gravlin of Calgary, Alberta and Pavel Darmantchev of Kelowna, B.C. versus the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. This matter is set for case management conference hearing on April 26, 2005. The Plaintiffs expects a stiff opposition from the defendants law firm. Madam Justice Garson is the case management judge assigned to the case.

A second class action suit was filed against MBNA CANADA BANK on behalf of Pavel Darmantchev of Kelowna, B.C., Ian Dennis Gravlin of Calgary, Alberta and Dena Alden of Vancouver, B.C.
