i don't know about the second one, but the first oprahphobic one is a 10-year old hoax that's been corrected numerous times, here's some info on it:

the explanation sounds solid to me, including tommy hilfiger appearing on oprah for the first time in 2007 to clarify things yet again - his first appearance on her show - meaning the previous controversial one never happened.

if it's not sourced with a website link where you can get more specifics then it's probably a lie, that's why i include links whenever i send an email to prove it was in the "washington post" or whatever, and so people can read more about it.

while i'm no fan of oprah for teaching us to love autistic kids for 20 years instead of explaining that mercury in the increasing number of vaccines has taken cases from 1 in 2500 births in 1991 to 1 in 166 in 2005 (and more today), and for not having robert f. kennedy jr. (son of you know who) on her show to explain the rolling stone magazine article where he wrote that; and for selling us "the secret" to putting our heads up our asses; it's important for people to be able to track back info to longer and more detailed explanations that intelligent people can judge the quality of for themselves.

they took the mercury out of animal vaccines because it was bad for them, but sadly they left it in the ones they give to babies, and since "rain man" we've just been told to live with "questions remain" instead of cursing out doctors and scientist for not getting off their asses and finally answering them about something this important.

thimerasol is a mercury-based "preservative" too, so really, they could take it out and just use fresh vaccines if they gave a damn... :-(
