Lupe Fiasco: Words I Never Said (W.I.N.S.)

.

.

.

Just a head's up, Lupe is a well-known and well-respected hip hop artist whose controversial, politically incorrect and honest anti-new world order views delayed his recent album release for years. Artists like this deserve public support so more try.

His new single featuring Skylar Grey from the long-delayed "Lasers" album is fantastic motivational music, with awesome lyrics, melodies and driving production to energize people into taking action. The power of music on our mood is incredible.

Cop the album or single on iTunes, or to get it on a new mixtape, you can also visit DatPiff.com, sign-up, login and download it. There's tons of other mixtapes there as well and some don't need a login, just enter an artists name in the search engine.

Most artists haven't learned and/or won't say what Lupe will, but the good news is the whole system has been shaken up by the "info war" fought in a million ways. They have to react to what we know or look like idiots, so we'll see more info soon.

Good people at all levels of the system are fighting to help everyone speak freely, make better choices and share better info so we feel more empowered against the corrupt people in charge. It's good to help support them and to pass their work on.

Relationships are being corrupted by what we're currently encouraged to talk about and share, so while we can all do what we're supposed to and make sure we fit-in, we can also transcend most conversations with better options to be better people.

Lupe Fiasco Gets Political On 'Words I Never Said'

Rapper addresses 9/11, manufactured foods, budget cuts and more on the LASERS track, featuring Skylar Grey.

Jayson Rodriguez | MTV News | February 1, 2011

Lupe Fiasco has never been one to shy away from sharing his thoughts, but on the rapper's latest single, "Words I Never Said," the outspoken MC unleashes a provocative sociopolitical rhyme packed with the passion of a cable pundit.

"I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bullsh--/ Just a poor excuse for you to use up your bullets/ How much money does it take to really make a full clip?" he raps over the driving production. "9/11, building 7, did they really pull it?/ And a bunch of other cover-ups, your child's future was the first to go with budget cuts/ If you think that hurts, wait, here comes the upper cut/ The school was garbage in the first place, that's on the up and up/ Keep you at the bottom but tease you with the upper crust/ You get it then they move it, so you never keeping up enough." ...

The song is slated for Fiasco's next LP, LASERS, due March 8.

Lupe Fiasco Words I Never Said: Lyrics, Listen

Missy Yates | Long Island Express | February 1st, 2011

Lupe Fiasco’s new single Words I Never Said has just hit the Internets.

Produced by Alex da Kid, Fiasco’s controversial single takes on topics like war and the economy.

“We scared of almost everything, afraid to even tell the truth/ So scared of what you think of me, I’m scared of even telling you,” he raps.

Skylar Gray sings the hook, “It’s so loud inside my head with words that I should have said/ As I drown in my regrets, I can’t take back the words I never said.”

Words I Never Said is the second single from the album Lasers which is scheduled for release on March 8.

The complete lyrics are below:

Lupe Fiasco Words I Never Said Lyrics

[Skylar Grey]

It’s so loud Inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said
I can’t take back the words I never said

[Lupe Fiasco]

I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bullshit
Just a poor excuse for you to use up all your bullets
How much money does it take to really make a full clip
9/11 building 7 did they really pull it
Uhh, And a bunch of other cover ups
Your childs future was the first to go with budget cuts
If you think that hurts then, wait here comes the uppercut
The school was garbage in the first place, thats on the up and up
Keep you at the bottom but tease you with the uppercrust
You get it then they move you so you never keeping up enough
If you turn on TV all you see’s a bunch of “what the f-cks”
Dude is dating so and so blabbering bout such and such
And that aint Jersey Shore, homie thats the news
And these the same people that supposed to be telling us the truth
Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist
Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit
Thats why I aint vote for him, next one either
I’ma part of the problem, my problem is I’m peaceful
And I believe in the people.

[Skylar Grey]

It’s so loud inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said
I can’t take back the words I never said

[Lupe Fiasco - Verse 2]

Now you can say it aint our fault if we never heard it
But if we know better than we probably deserve it
Jihad is not a holy war, wheres that in the worship?
Murdering is not Islam!
And you are not observant
And you are not a muslim
Israel don’t take my side cause look how far you’ve pushed them
Walk with me into the ghetto, this where all the Kush went
Complain about the liquor store but what you drinking liquor for?
Complain about the gloom but when’d you pick a broom up?
Just listening to Pac aint gone make it stop
A rebel in your thoughts, aint gon make it halt
If you don’t become an actor you’ll never be a factor
Pills with million side effects
Take em when the pains felt
Wash them down with Diet soda!
Killin off your brain cells
Crooked banks around the World
Would gladly give a loan today
So if you ever miss payment
They can take your home away!

[Skylar Grey]

It’s so loud inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said, never said
I can’t take back the words I never said

[Lupe Fiasco - Verse 3]

I think that all the silence is worse than all the violence
Fear is such a weak emotion that's why I despise it
We scared of almost everything, afraid to even tell the truth
So scared of what you think of me, I’m scared of even telling you
Sometimes I’m like the only person I feel safe to tell it to
I’m locked inside a cell in me, I know that there’s a jail in you
Consider this your bailing out, so take a breath, inhale a few
My screams is finally getting free, my thoughts is finally yelling through

[Skylar Grey]

It’s so loud Inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said

XXLLUMINATI: Everyone Is Slowly Learning Everything Anyway

.

Just a head's up, since hip hop is used by the new world order to introduce tons of new ideas, fashion, goals and slang to cultures worldwide, or often make them seem "cool" no matter how stupid or bad for us they are, the Illuminati rumour is no different. We're learning who the elite in charge of the world are, minus important details that most won't care about if this is all they want to read, plus exactly how to live with it, minus the fact that it will get much more difficult to. That's mind control.

For example, check out XXL Magazine, the most popular hip hop mag in the world, slowly but surely responding to rumours of the "Illuminati" controlling hip hop and the world. These articles aren't bad, but they're not good. Instead, they're "fair" to all sides, including the Illuminati, by not being judgmental. This is what they want us to think: Okay, so the Illuminati is in charge, so what? Maybe they always are? Who cares? By giving us this way to think, the Illuminati teach us not to care about them.

The articles rely heavily on a real quote (I've heard the audio) from Tupac Shakur as a framing device. He said he couldn't believe that people would know about a "secret" society , making the articles a contest between believing a young Tupac or believing the Illuminati exists and is a concern. From what I can tell, Tupac came around as he learned more, but he was more or less right when he said he had to worry more about how people were dealing with them than how scary they may be.

Keep in mind that Pac, Martin, Malcolm and everyone else before this didn't have the internet and took longer to correct mistakes and change their minds, which they like everyone they often did. We have the modern luxury of looking at info provided by whistleblowers more courageous and experts smarter than us who we have to respect, plus co-signed by millions worldwide as being valid, then using our best judgment about what might help us get stuff done about this "Illuminati" problem.

While everyone can "believe what they want", the problem with making up our own realities is we can't agree on anything enough to control it, including our ability to stop the eugenics programs destroying our health, money, relationships and future. To help counter this, check out the fantastic new single from Lupe Fiasco featuring Skylar Grey called "Words I Never Said", it really combines what we need to know with how we need to feel. Otherwise, enjoy watching the process. It's interesting.

.

"Some say they expect Illuminati,
Take my body to sleep,
Niggas at the party with they shotties,
Just as rowdy as me,
Before I flee computer chips,
I gotta deal wit brothas flippin',
I don't see no devils bleedin',
Only black blood drippin',
We can change?
Whatcha now say?"

- Tupac Shakur feat. The Outlawz, "They Don't Give A F--k About Us"

The Illuminati Hip-Hop Timeline

Lyrics, videos, signs of the Illuminati have been sprinkled throughout hip-hop, here are some highlights

XXL Magazine | February 11, 2011

In the current issue (March 2011) of XXL Magazine, hip-hop’s obsession with the Illuminati is investigated due to persistent rumors that linked rappers to the secret society for much of last year. Today’s rap superstars, like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, have all been labeled as members of the clandestine organization founded by a German scholar in 1776. Though many of them have brushed off the accusations the rumors continue. And while the Illuminati hip-hop talk reached its peak in 2010, it’s not a new phenomenon to the genre.

“Position of Power” XXL‘s Feature on Hip-Hop’s Illuminati Obsession [March 2011 Feature Excerpt]

Are some of hip-hop’s biggest artists down with secret societies? XXL examines in this feature excerpt...

Rondell Conway | XXL Magazine | February 11, 2011

**THIS STORY ORIGINALLY APPEARS IN THE MARCH 2011 ISSUE OF XXL. ON SALE NOW**

“Niggas is telling me about this Illuminati shit while I’m in jail… That’s another way to keep your self-esteem low. That’s another way to keep you unconfident. And I’m putting the K ’cause I’m killing that Illuminati shit,” Tupac Shakur said about the Illuminati in a 1996 interview that later appeared on the 2001 Thug Immortal DVD. ’Pac, arguably hip-hop’s biggest rapper, first heard of the Illuminati—an alleged secret society founded by German scholar Adam Weishaupt in 1776—while serving time at upstate New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility on sexual assault charges in 1995. Fellow inmates attempted to school the famously rebellious rapper on the operational blueprint of the clandestine organization, whose members were supposedly uber-wealthy puppet masters controlling governments and banking systems while pulling the strings of politicians and entertainers.

"9/11, building 7, did they really pull it?/ And a bunch of other cover-ups, your child's future was the first to go with budget cuts/ If you think that hurts, wait, here comes the upper cut/ The school was garbage in the first place, that's on the up and up/ Keep you at the bottom but tease you with the upper crust/ You get it then they move it, so you never keeping up enough."

The track was produced by Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Rihanna, Paramore), and the British hitmaker hinted to MTV News earlier this month that the number would ruffle some feathers.

"It's politically charged, it's controversial, and it's Lupe being honest about his opinions on society," he said. "It's really cool. I like it."

"Words I Never Said" also finds Fiasco broaching subjects other than 9/11 controversies and the decline in American educational institutions.

The Chicago MC takes shots at President Obama and predatory lending practices and laments the unhealthy nature of manufactured foods. He urges listeners to be proactive in search of solutions.

"Just listening to 'Pac ain't gonna make it stop," he spits.

"It's so loud inside of my head with words that I should have said," Skylar Grey sings on the chorus. "As I drown in my regrets, I can't take back the words I never said."

The song is slated for Fiasco's next LP, LASERS, due March 8.

Satisfactionable Intelligence: The Why Behind Being Asked To Lie + The TwitterRevolution: Death Threats to a Country in 140 Characters Or Less

.

Just a head's up, I heard tales of ye olde Johnny Research being asked to fudge data on cures he works on, probably for a vaccine, by ye olde Johnny Professor, to the serious detriment of the health of the people who would take it, to get his PhD.

Since he and other students are asked to do this often and most soon agree, this doesn't seem to be unusual. This just seems to be how the eugenicists in charge eventually corrupt or kick-out many of the good people trying to work in science.

When students are tens of thousands of dollars in debt for the dream of working in a research lab, it's hard to resist. So, they'll either finish their degrees or find another jobs to pay off their loans. The sociopaths in these programs do just find thanks.

One thing missing from this equation is how to stop it. Unless people want to see this bizarre and dangerous normal continue, among others, they'd make sure that everyone gets hip to the new world orders coming down the pike to help fight back.

People often don't know why their boss is being such a bastard. (Or beeyotch, to be politically correct and refer to both genders.) Sometimes they just are. Other times they're hardcore eugenicists who mean to compromise people who work for them.

Most people understand lying for money. But harming or even killing people? That can be harder to get. However, we've seen drugs like Vioxx kill over 10,000 people before publicity forced Merck pulled it off the market. Like they hadn't noticed before.

Eugenics can be hard to understand, but the idea of breeding people has been around for hundreds of years and well-documented in the last century. The super-rich wanted us a certain way to fulfill their goals. Now they're trying to get rid of us.

This might be the proverbial "missing link" when informing people who work in fields that are consistently compromised, like science and healthcare. Doctors, nurses and others who create or provide deadly vaccines (etc.) could find ways to stop.

Fortunately, we have the goods on the "system" to share. Once we understand it, most other individual realities we're encouraged to create fit inside the new world order explanation. Yes: there's a reason why they haven't found cures for anything.

Optimistically, we can estimate that 90% of people who work anywhere are decent human beings. We can also estimate that 90% of people don't know what's really going on because it takes a long time to research it. That leaves us with options.

Chief among them is sharing info to get everyone informed. We get conditioned in stages to accept changes often planned years in advance, so we have to stop that from happening by creating our own positive developments to follow where we live.

As long as people can share and accept info, it can become something to discuss. Then people can change how they think about the world to make better decisions, plus professionals will be able to come forward to help fight for legislative changes.

Sometimes all or nothing suggetions don't offer steps needed to achieve them, like everyone going on strike or not paying taxes. Nothing big can be done without little steps first, so the info war proven to keep us in the game is our best simple option.

Below is an article that helps reveal some of what we're trying to stop: our ongoing lobotomization in the scientifically engineered global dictatorship being set up. Once people figure out where this is all going, we can work on choosing a better direction.

.

‘Why is cleverness frowned upon?’ – Great Article on the Dumbing Down of Children

I’ve came across this article from The Independent describing the “non-learning” happening in UK schools. Funny, we the same phenomena is happening in North America:

Why is cleverness frowned upon?

Tom Hodgkinson

Having three children in the state primary system, I’ve seen the results of New Labour’s Brave New World anti-intellectualism up close. Academic work has been largely dropped. Times tables, spelling, grammar and good handwriting are not taught.

One teacher told us that correcting spelling might interrupt “the creative flow”. In the playground, age-old games such as conkers and It are banned, as they might upset someone. The local authority, we are told, has also banned the ancient game of football, because it encourages competitive behaviour.

Instead, pupils are treated to lavish praise, sex education and colouring in, plus a big dose of television via the whiteboards. The place is awash with laptops. There is a therapeutic ethos, and in “circle time”, pupils are encouraged to talk about their problems at home.

Cleverness is frowned upon: yesterday my daughter said she didn’t like being clever and was considering doing bad work so she would be moved down a set.

TwitteRevolution: "Egypt Will Explode" -- Death Threats to a Country in 140 Characters (Or Less)

.

FYI, we're not only being told about the power of social networks to spark revolution, we're being "sold" it by our mass media. The headline in the Toronto Star today was protest opposition leader Mohammed ElBaredei Twitting "Egypt Will Explode". Why?

ElBaradei warns Egypt will 'explode'

http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5hCgA7kNpkUUlEVrejG7-H67zvACg?docId=CNG.6b096ac0cdcfce7a0f599fbbb1c85c27.f91

After two weeks of media coverage, people will want to approve of the protests to support the people without thinking about anything else. Many won't see explained on Twitter how ElBaradei is a Western stooge and all this was planned for a while.

Wael Ghonim of Google plays an integral part in ElBaradei’s bid to seize power

http://www.infowars.com/wael-ghonim-of-google-plays-an-integral-part-in-elbaradeis-bid-to-seize-power/

We're probably being encouraged to revolt the same online way that can be easily controlled by intelligence agents on the internet. Social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook tend to make us over-simplify things, so they're being promoted a lot.

EGYPT: ElBaradei shares joy at Mubarak ouster via Twitter

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/babylonbeyond/2011/02/egypt-elbaradei-shares-joy-at-mubarak-ouster-via-twitter.html

Based on what's planned, there's no doubt that people in North America will be mad enough to riot. We can stop it, but if we don't, we'll see simple acts like protesting and rioting being organized and promoted more often just to cause social unrest.

Mubarak Stepping Down: Twitter Sounds Off on the Momentous Event

http://www.aolnews.com/2011/02/11/mubarak-resignation-twitter-sounds-off-on-the-momentous-event/

Right now, we're seeing retarded and obvious blurts being reported as if they're the best political discourse of the day. We're being encouraged to compete to over-simplify the mass media's version of events and celebrate whoever does it best.

The revolution is just a tweet away

http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/content/2011/s3134593.htm

Keep in mind that governments worldwide, especially since 9/11, have been building massive armies of militarized police and soldiers specifically trained to crack down on protests and riots. We saw it at G20 Martial Law in Toronto. And at every G20.

G20 police-state reaction still haunts Toronto

http://www.thebulletin.ca/cbulletin/content.jsp?ctid=1000002&cnid=1002721

This is why what's happening with the protests in Egypt is so dangerous: we're all being set up for a fight with our cops again. This is something that probably started happening right after G20 Martial Law in Toronto. Or, it's been happening for years.

People often think they thought of their strong opinions about popular topics, but they were often given their thoughts by the mass media. While many get trained to avoid doing so, as long as people keep an open mind, they can figure out the time.

The Mapmakers of Society

The beginnings of a Scientific Dictatorship

Old-Thinker News | August 4, 2010

By Daniel Taylor

In order to understand our history, the development of our society and political structure, the influence of the large foundations in America is an essential area of research. Their investment into the social sciences and medical establishment shaped their direction for the 20th Century and beyond.

Social control and eugenics became a primary directive. These ideas, primarily due to the work of the Rockefeller and Carnegie philanthropies, spread throughout the intelligentsia and elite circles throughout the western world.

Yahoo's Main Page: "How to survive an Internet blackout"

.

.

.

.

Just a head's up, after a few years of warnings, the idea of losing the free and open internet we know and love are finally hitting mainstream news thanks to the outage in Egypt. The Yahoo Canada main page headline of "How to survive an Internet blackout" is scary enough, but the story headline of "Egypt, blizzards hold lessons for surviving Internet outages" might be worse because it normalizes it by giving us reasons and "survival" tips. It won't be gone tomorrow, but we'll probably expect and accept it when it goes. At least that seems to be the plan with this type of story.

People should know about plans for "Internet 2" at - http://www.internet2.edu/ - that's been in the works for a while. A consortium of 200 schools and businesses have been working to create a "faster" but much more restrictive internet, with a global Facebook-style login that destroys anonymity and can be cut-off, plans to restrict access and content geographically, charge for specific use and more. Nobody will accept this unless there's a "crisis" that predicates it. This is likely what we're being psychologically conditioned to accept now. Keep your eyes open while surf's up.

Obama Administration Plans Internet ID for All Americans

Fox News | January 9, 2011

President Obama is putting plans in motion to give the Commerce Department authority to create an Internet ID for all Americans, a White House official told CNET.com.

White House Cybersecurity Coordinator Howard Schmidt told the website it is “the absolute perfect spot in the U.S. government” to centralize efforts toward creating an “identity ecosystem” for the Internet.

Egypt, blizzards hold lessons for surviving Internet outages

Carmi Levy | Yahoo Finance Canada | February 7, 2011

Could you survive without the Internet? If you or your company suddenly lost all online access, would you know what to do to keep your life and your business moving forward?

The notion of immediate and complete loss of connectivity isn't as preposterous as we'd like to think. Recent events near and far from home have reinforced just how fragile online access can be, and how ill-prepared most of us are for an unplanned return to pre-Internet life.

The Egyptian government's move to shut down all Internet access within its borders in the wake of massive protests holds lessons for Internet users around the globe, but it isn't the only source of worry.

Autocratic leadership half a world away may not directly affect your ability to stay visible to and connected with your most important stakeholders, but an epic blizzard like the one that shut down large chunks of Ontario in December just might.

Indeed, outages can come from anywhere: A misplaced backhoe can cut access for a few blocks, while a major fire in a switching station can take down a city.

These seemingly disconnected events reinforce just how uncontrollable an outage can be. More importantly, they serve as stark reminders of what happens when our critical business tools suddenly vanish:

• Email. Nothing goes out or in. Delivery failure messages, inconsistent at the best of times, may not advise correspondents that you've electronically dropped off the face of the earth.

• Web access. Losing the ability to surf is bad enough. Companies with any sort of Web presence could also disappear from view. E-commerce quickly becomes no-commerce.

• Phone. Think your phone is immune from this kind of thing? Think again. The accelerating shift to Internet-based VoIP phones means your headset is just as vulnerable to Internet outages as your keyboard and mouse.

The bad news is no one individual or organization can stop an outage from happening. The good news: What happens afterward is entirely up to us. As rare as total Internet outages are, end users at work and at home have many options to minimize the disruption and bottom-line damage. Like a good disaster recovery plan, a strategy for surviving a total Internet outage can provide quickly available alternatives for keeping the proverbial lights on.

• Grab a smartphone. If your broadband cable or DSL connection is down, you may be able to make do with a smartphone or tablet in a pinch. Increasingly powerful mobile devices coupled with high-capacity 3G and, soon, 4G networks make switching to mobile an easy choice when broadband goes down. Plan for the possibility by reviewing your wireless plan and having mobile applications in place to support basic workflow.

• Stick it. If ditching your desktop or laptop PC is too much of a switch, USB 3G network sticks are an easy alternative for a seamless transition. Have a few extras on hand, and work with your wireless provider to ensure the data plans that go along with them make sense for your budget. Some laptops even come with this capability right from the factory: Something to consider when refreshing your hardware.

• Go low-tech. Few things are as robust as yesterday's technologies. That old dial-up modem may be laughably slow by today's standards, but as Egyptian protesters have learned, it's still a great alternative means of low-bandwidth connectivity — especially when cell networks are also down.

You won't be streaming videos or holding Skype-based conference calls, but for basic e-mail and stripped-down Web activity — try using mobile-optimized sites to minimize otherwise-brutal load times — it'll do the job. Many ISPs have retained a few dial-up lines precisely for this purpose. Don't forget fax machines, either, as they've proven particularly adept at staying connected when everything else goes down. If you're using an IP-based phone, keep a conventional line and handset handy.

• Educate yourself and your users. Internet outage game plans won't succeed unless you and your team know they exist and understand what to do. Document the process in an easily available form — on the company Intranet or wiki, as well as paper-based copies — and make sure everyone signs off on it. Review and test the plan periodically because systems and technology continue to evolve, and people have short memories.

Finally, don't forget to communicate with key external stakeholders. The more they know about your alternative plans, the easier it'll be to connect with them if the worst-case-scenario actually occurs.

We can't prevent mass Internet outages any more than we can stop power failures, but we can significantly improve our potential for productivity by planning ahead and thinking creatively. As we continue to rely more heavily on Internet connectivity for even basic daily functionality, an outage strategy becomes that much more crucial.

Fluoride is out

CTV News Calgary | February 8, 2011

If city council gets its way, fluoride in Calgary's water supply will be a thing of the past.

Councilors spent much of the afternoon on Tuesday debating the issue and in the end they agreed to stop adding fluoride to the water.

Ten councilors supported the removal and just three were opposed to the motion.

Those who supported the motion:

* Gian-Carlo Carra
* Andre Chabot
* Peter Demong
* Jim Stevensen
* Shane Keating
* Ray Jones
* Diane Colley-Urquhart
* John Mar
* Druh Farrell
* Dale Hodges

Those who were opposed to the motion:

* Gord Lowe
* Richard Pootmans
* Gael MacLeod

The Mayor and Councilor Pincott were absent from voting.

They have also decided not to put the issue to a public vote and they have opted not to consult with the expert panel that was offered by the University of Calgary for free.

Councilor Gian-Carlo Carra says the decision to vote against fluoride came down to a poor argument from the scientific community.

"I think the health science view is predicated on a certain approach which I think is no longer entirely relevant and I encourage health scientists to come forward with a point of view that carries the full view of science but is also more relevant to the sensibilities of the day," said Carra.

Alberta Health says it is disappointed and that it is a big advocate of keeping fluoride in the water.

Those who oppose the addition of fluoride are happy and say their opposition to the substance finally took hold among the public.

"I think public awareness has grown significantly, especially because of the internet, social media, lots of information out there right now, freedom of choice has always been important as well," said Elke Babiuk.

The issue now goes to Alberta Environment who will have to amend the water licence, which can take several months.

Calgary added fluoride to the drinking water in 1991.

Calgary removing fluoride from water supply

CBC News | February 8, 2011

Calgary city council has voted 10-3 in favour of removing fluoride from the city's drinking water.

Two members of council, Mayor Naheed Nenshi and Ald. Brian Pincott, were out of town during Tuesday's vote.

Earlier in the day, city council considered and rejected by a vote of 8-5 putting the fluoride issue to a plebiscite during the 2013 municipal election. Council also rejected the idea of referring the matter to an expert panel.

The issue has proved a lightning rod for Calgarians, and past plebiscites have revealed public opinion is nearly even split on the matter.

In 1989, 53 per cent of Calgarians voted in favour of adding fluoride. Two years later, it was added.

Savings will go to dental health

After a well-attended, all-day public meeting late last month, the removal of the chemical was recommended to council by a city committee.

On Tuesday, council also supported using some of the savings of removing fluoride to examine ways of improving dental health for children living in poverty.

'It's not our responsibility.' —Ald. Druh Farrell

Proponents of fluoride say it prevents tooth decay, especially in vulnerable groups such as the poor, children and the elderly. Opponents question the safety of fluoride in drinking water and suggest it should be up to individuals to decide whether to expose themselves to the additive.

Ald. Druh Farrell, who led the anti-fluoride charge, said helping families who can't afford fluoridated toothpaste is a better idea that medicating the entire population.

"It's not our responsibility, but what we've said is because we had this responsibility and because children in poverty are used as a reason to support fluoride, then let's really help those children," she said.
City faced pricey plant upgrades

Ald. Jim Stevenson said there's insufficient medical proof that keeping it in the water has any benefit.

"We as a council have to show some leadership here. We have no right to force this right on all Calgarians. I would really question our right to put it in, but … I don't question at all our right to remove it," he said.

The timeline for the removal of fluoride remains unclear, as the city must apply to Alberta Environment to amend its water licence.

The city should also see cost savings in the move — the cost of adding fluoride to Calgary's water is about $750,000 per year.

The city was also facing $6-million upgrades to the Bearspaw and Glenmore water-treatment plants needed for the fluoridation process in the near future.

Save CKLN Radio 88.1 FM - IMPORTANT Big Push: Write directly to the CRTC

.

Hi,

The CRTC has informed us that people wishing to comment on the decision to revoke our licence should use the CRTC's question/complaint page at:

http://www.crtc.gc.ca/RapidsCCM/Register.asp?lang=E

We will be sending all the comments we've received at board@ckln.fm to the CRTC but this week, everyone on this list should use the form at the above link to register their complaint. The form's cumbersome to use, but there you go:)

Please fill click the above link and fill out your complaint today. Please be polite and please encourage your friends to use this link as well.

Thanks,

.

Just to speak to the process of writing directly — it really has shown results in the past. It's a hassle, but it's how the CRTC tracks comments and follows up, and is a system of accountability for them.

On this page, toward the middle, they explain their process:

http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/INFO_SHT/G8.HTM

Please read these instructions, they'll tell you small things like include or name or your complaint will not be processed. Throughout the process of the online form you will be asked questions such as whether or not you want your comment to be public. It also mentions that complaints made by phone must be followed up in writing. Please try to file your complaints as complaints, rather than questions, as they are processed differently.

CKLN is NOT a member of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council, so please do not click on the link to their complaints process.

I'd suggest the info to write to the CRTC be on CKLN's website. If all of the people signing the petition were commenting directly to the CRTC there would be an impact. Some people may want to note the petition in their comments to the CRTC.

.

Sign The Petition: CKLN must remain on the airwaves!

CKLN 88.1FM MUST REMAIN ON THE AIRWAVES!!!!

We the Toronto community are shocked at the recent revoking of CKLN 88.1FM's broadcasting license by the CRTC. CKLN is the heart of our community. Chatham House History

Chatham HouseIn 1919 British and American delegates to the Paris Peace Conference, under the leadership of Lionel Curtis, conceived the idea of an Anglo-American Institute of foreign affairs to study international problems with a view to preventing future wars. In the event, the British Institute of International Affairs was founded separately in London in July 1920 and received its Royal Charter in 1926 to become The Royal Institute of International Affairs. The American delegates developed the Council on Foreign Relations in New York as a sister institute. Both are now among the world's leading international affairs think-tanks.

Think tank - Wikipedia

A think tank (or policy institute) is an organization that conducts research and engages in advocacy in areas such as social policy, political strategy, economy, science or technology issues, industrial or business policies, or military advice.[1] Many think tanks are non-profit organizations, which some countries such as the United States and Canada provide with tax exempt status. Other think tanks are funded by governments, advocacy groups, or businesses, or derive revenue from consulting or research work related to their projects.[2]

Revolution, flashmobs, and brain chips. A grim vision of the future

Richard Norton-Taylor | The Guardian | April 9, 2007

Information chips implanted in the brain. Electromagnetic pulse weapons. The middle classes becoming revolutionary, taking on the role of Marx's proletariat. The population of countries in the Middle East increasing by 132%, while Europe's drops as fertility falls. "Flashmobs" - groups rapidly mobilised by criminal gangs or terrorists groups.

This is the world in 30 years' time envisaged by a Ministry of Defence team responsible for painting a picture of the "future strategic context" likely to face Britain's armed forces. It includes an "analysis of the key risks and shocks". Rear Admiral Chris Parry, head of the MoD's Development, Concepts & Doctrine Centre which drew up the report, describes the assessments as "probability-based, rather than predictive".

Canada's military peers into future, and it's scary

Alan Woods | Toronto Star | October 17, 2009

In the worst-case scenarios, oil prices quadruple, drones patrol the skies, global wars spill into cities

OTTAWA - The war between India and Pakistan spills over into Toronto's immigrant suburbs. A terrorist sleeper cell poisons Montreal's water system. Mandatory military service is enacted for young and new Canadians.

While the Armed Forces constantly project scenarios for which to train, these hypothetical situations are rarely publicized. Although they appear far-fetched, the military is obliged to prepare for the worst, or risk being unready in the event of a catastrophe.

A 10-year forecast completed for the air force lays out likely trends in areas such as oil prices and aviation technologies, but also a series of "strategic shocks" – unpredictable events that could throw the best-laid plans off course.

Ontario to launch $1 million blitz to explain soaring energy costs

Robert Benzie | Toronto Star | February 7, 2011

OTTAWA—Premier Dalton McGuinty is hitting Ontarians where they live to explain rising energy prices and what’s being done to help.

Queen’s Park is distributing a six-page pamphlet this week to every household in Ontario as part of a public-relations blitz to tout the new 10 per cent discount on electricity.

The Star obtained an advance copy of the leaflet, which is costing about $1 million to mail out.

“What we’re trying to convey is why we’re doing this,” McGuinty said late Saturday after a 40-minute speech to 300 Liberals at the party’s pre-election policy conference here.

Why not a metered Internet?

Iain Marlow | Globe and Mail | February 7, 2011

More than half of Canadians surveyed last summer thought their Internet plans were unlimited – a veritable buffet of bandwidth, with all the high-definition video streaming and file-transferring they could consume.

How wrong they were. More than 90 per cent of the country’s plans are finite, with set limits and stinging charges for going over. The vast majority of people in that poll by Solutions Research Group had never even heard of the concept of paying for Internet based on how much they used. ...

... But consider the incredible week that just was: On Monday, growing consumer uproar over the regulator’s move on Internet pricing forced Industry Minister Tony Clement to announce he’ll examine the matter; then, on Tuesday, the Prime Minister tweeted that he wanted a formal review of it; on Thursday, the CRTC’s chairman was hauled out of a crucial set of hearings to appear before a committee of hostile MPs to discuss it; and on Friday, none other than celebrity blogger Perez Hilton chimed in on the state of Canada’s Internet with: “Yikes!!”

At the root of the circus this issue has become, though, is one simple question:

Should Canadians’ Internet use, like hydro or water, be metered?

Inane Conversations: The Power of Talking About Nothing

Kari Henly | Huffington Post | Feruary 6, 2011

This post is dedicated to my "coffee girls." For the past eight years, I have met with the same group of women at a local bagel joint on Thursday mornings. Having met when our children were in the same preschool, we have seen each other through divorces, job changes, my stress having twins, and the like. Our time together is so sacred that we rearrange our lives to make it work and physically miss each other when we have to skip a few weeks. Guess what we talk about? Nothing in particular. Nevertheless, it is a community that I cherish deeply. Do any of you have a simliar experience?

Bread and Circus on Superbowl Sunday

Dr. Susan Rubin | February 6, 2011

The phrase “bread and circus” was used by a Roman writer to deplore the declining heroism of Romans after the Roman Republic ceased to exist. The government kept the Roman populace happy by distributing free food and staging huge spectacles.

When I see Jersey Shore, the Kardashians and NFL Football on TV with tons of advertisements for food that is not really food, I wonder if we are watching the decline of American civilization.

Record crowd expected for Super Bowl

Green Bay Press-Gazette | January 27, 2011

The NFL is expecting a record crowd for the first Super Bowl at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, according to the Associated Press.

... Plus, get this, about 5,000 people paid $200 each to be in an area outside the stadium watching on big-screen TVs.

CD Review: Chet Singh, Recessionary Revolutionaries

Jah Works | December 7, 2010

www.myspace.com/chetsingh

Perhaps revolution itself is in a recession these days. There are so many significant problems requiring revolutionary solutions, but it’s difficult to demonstrate that great strides are being made with any regularity or promise of lasting success. Not that intelligent, concerned, talented people aren’t involving themselves in the struggle. It’s just that the issues are so numerous and complex, and that the forces for the ultimately destructive status quo are so entrenched. Or so it seems to some of us.

Samara

Political leadership.
Citizen participation.
Public affairs journalism.

Samara is a charitable organization that studies citizen engagement with Canadian democracy. Through our projects we hope to strengthen the health of our democracy and encourage others to do the same.

Samara was created out of a belief in the importance of public service and public leadership. We are named for a samara, which is the winged "helicopter" seed that falls from maple, elm and ash trees.

Our work focuses on three areas: political leadership; the participation of citizens in public life; and public affairs journalism.

What is CAPP Toronto?

CAPP Toronto is a non-partisan, non-profit organization committed to informing the population of Canada about issues that may concern them; and to improving the democratic system structure that we are beholden to by helping inspire people to become active citizens and get involved in politics, either through action or education.

Forged out of the public reaction to the Prorogation of Parliament on December 30, 2009, CAPP Toronto’s members come from all political parties. Often CAPP Toronto members are not affiliated with any political party, but are still concerned with the direction our society is headed. CAPP Toronto members come from every walk of life. We represent the woven tapestry of Canadian society.

Through education and active engagement in democratic activities, CAPP Toronto strives to return democratic power to Canadian citizens.

The Year in Democracy

Aaron Wherry | Maclean's | January 5, 2011

Samara is soliciting nominations for the best in democracy for 2010 and Alison Loat notes the trend of the current entries:

"From the submissions made so far, it would seem that Canadian democracy is on the defensive. Many of the entries were public outcry in reaction to a policy decision, a government move, or even an individual politician. What does this say about Canadian democracy? Does democracy always need defending?"

Tweet Psych: Watch Mind Control Happen Fast In Real-Time (By AdjudiTwitting) And See How CAMH Sick's Our Kids On Us

Just a head's up, since we're a few months from 2012, we'll probably have to act fast to avert catastrophe. This basically means doing what everyone who's ever looked into this suggests, which is fight the info war until everyone around us knows what's going on and can act on it. Whoever wants it more, with numbers, will win.

That doesn't mean we should believe every crazy prediction about 2012, or anything else, just that we should understand that we're usually given hot topics to discuss for a while to change our behaviour by experts who understand how to do this. So, between the stories of Mayan prophecies and military PSYOP's, something is up.

On that note, on to attacks on our minds by the "system" and it's acolytes. Above is "TweetPsych", which judges our ability to Twit and compares it to fellow Twitters. Check it out. It may make you feel self-conscious and judgmental while helping to standardize thought globally. You may not care, but it's working on us somewhere.

Since the old saying is "As above, so below" (Baphomet), we have another attack on our minds from CAMH training children to attack their parents to get them to stop smoking, just like they're trained by the state to attack for not being "green" enough. They better know about the new world order before they're in charge of enforcing it.

We're not given technology promoted everywhere like "Twitter" and "Text" and "Smart" phones exclusively for our benefit and because they sell. They're provided for surveillance and control. We're told by the mass media they're useful tools for revolution. We should wonder why. Do they really have an interest in helping us out?

Online communications can destroy offline communications. People are more a--holish online than off, more fractured and shallow in their thoughts, and so on. It has a spillover effect that leads us to trust offline interactions less. We need to talk about serious things in-depth offline to stop us from being unable to stop things like this.

Each stage of the new world order's plan is playing out right now as predicted.

Instead of getting randomly excited as part of the online hive, let's focus.

There are things going on right around us that we can deal with.

New Storybook Tackles Kids' Smoking Fears

Trevor Maimann | Epoch Times | January 20, 2011

With the prevalence of anti-smoking messages, kids today are hip to the dangers associated with smoking and may worry if their parents smoke.

To help such kids, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) has published a storybook called “Smoking and Quitting: Clean Air for All” that will be distributed to elementary schools and public libraries across the country during National Non-Smoking Week, Jan. 16 – 22.

The book covers questions children may have, such as why their parents smoke when they know it’s bad for them, whether they themselves will get sick from the smoke, and why some people have a hard time quitting smoking.

“Kids grow up hearing about the dangers of smoking, including some messages that are really aimed at adults,” said Dr. Irfan Mian, a psychiatrist in CAMH’s Child, Youth and Family Program.

“This can cause confusion and concern for kids, especially if parents, caregivers, other family members and people they admire smoke. It’s important to talk to kids about the realities concerning smoking and encourage them to discuss their feelings. Discussing the facts is one of the most important things you can do for them.”

Activists and Local Communities Gaining Ground on Exposing Wal-Mart For Deceptive Practices

John Galt
Infowars.com
February 6, 2011

The myth of Wal-Mart as an indispensable part of Americana that presents the poor with a wide selection of affordable products is coming unraveled.

The revelation that Wal-Mart actually kills jobs and damages local communities is contradictory to their own brand marketing, but in a Yahoo news story Wal-Mart is drawing ire from the very people who it claims to be helping. The story cites a report released in January by City University of New York’s Hunter College Center for Community Planning, which studied 50 Wal-Mart stores and the impact they have had on the surrounding communities. The conclusions are striking:

The overwhelming weight of the independent research on the impact of Wal-Mart stores . . . shows that Wal-Mart depresses area wages and labor benefits . . . pushes out more retail jobs than it creates, and results in more retail vacancies.

This report has led the City Council to condemn Wal-Mart, saying:

‘To me, Wal-Mart is definitely not welcome in this city,’ asserted Councilwoman Melissa Mark-Viverito. ‘It is a union-busting, tax-evading, wage-suppressing, job-destroying, civil-rights abusing, food stamp-denying, multi-national corporation that has no place in this city.’
