Precious Lady-Lovin' Mantangibles: Jada Pinkett Smith on Tupac Shakur on Arsenio

Jada Pinkett Smith: Tupac Was Like A Father

.

Thanks Mistah Brojangles, this is a great clip and I've had many relationships like this as well with girls who liked the fact that I liked them and took a genuine interest in them and wanted them to feel special and succeed without sex on my mind, or at least sex with them. This is beyond because I liked them, or they liked me, or even as a normal human thing to do. In hindsight it was also because it made me feel like a smart and valuable and conscientious man to help a woman or girl this way much like you with [redacted] and many others, so it works on many levels. Neat-o-keen and passing it on... :)

Sam Roberts - Where Have All The Good People Gone

.

"Where Have All The Good People Gone"
Oh the Milky Way has gone a little sour
The leaves dried and the flower fell away
I've been sitting, I've been waiting for a sign
Inhuman beings taking up all of my time
Want to leave but I've got to stay
And I'm wondering more everyday
Montreal to Hong Kong
Where have all the good people gone?
Traffic jam but I'm on the shoulder
Took ten cops to pull me over
Bangkok to Babylon
Where have all the good people gone?
I haven't met a friend in a long long while
They don't check my head but they check my style
The modern world is a cold cold world
And all I meet are cold cold girls
Wanna leave but I got to stay
And I'm wondering more every day
Montreal to Hong Kong
Where have all the good people gone?
Traffic jam but I'm on the shoulder
Took ten cops to pull me over
Bangkok to Babylon
Where have all the good people gone?
And it's always the same
We all just turn away
We are stealing from ourselves
We are feeding off ourselves
But we were born in the flames
We need a cool breeze and a summer rain
We are stealing from ourselves
We are feeding off ourselves
Oh the Milky Way has gone a little sour
The leaves dried and the flower fell away
Want to leave but I've got to stay
And I'm wondering more everyday
Montreal to Hong Kong
Where have all the good people gone?
Traffic jam but I'm on the shoulder
Took ten cops to pull me over
Bangkok to Babylon
Where have all the good people gone?
Time's up and we're running long
Where have all the good people gone?

Hmmm... final comment before I forego FB for now. I still think men and women are equal and a man could say this stuff about a woman helping him, much like Tupac said great things about his own mother's perseverance through her struggles and many other women doing great things. However, and this is something I stand by which keeps me standing tall: having both genders tell these stories about helping the other in unique and situational ways should be acceptable without anybody automatically thinking there's anything sexist about it. I've helped many a lovely and curious young lady with questions gain some clarity and felt like a big, strong, useful, valuable and capable man doing the right thing and feeling great about it with no strings attached. I've also been helped by women doing similar things in different situations like many other men have. Both and other possibilities exist and they should be allowed to without charges of feeling sexist to help us all feel great. This is also why I'm saying things the same more often in normal work/play environments and switching to saying this type of different stuff less strenuously and more fluidly through art. Or, if I say "I will try to fix you" I might get slapped. But if I sing it like Coldplay I might get laid. So, I'd rather sentiments like this be well-taken and delivered with better meaning and feeling too. People who really want to can always respect and pay me to consult and explain similar things more technically to help fix their personal issues or relationships in-part by using things they already believe in, like their favourite great artists who pretty much hook us up with everything we need to know anyway, people often just have trouble applying it to our daily lives. Otherwise who wants to try to explain it with caveats out the wazoo like this? No worries, and unless I'm commissioned to say something different then it was a nice day and I'm happy we're happy it was and I've been in an unstoppably great mood the whole time getting things done, connecting with family and friends and looking forward to the future. I guess that'll do, now back to being polite and busy with biz or art... have a great night and see you off and on stages soon! :)
